John Theriault Air Limited is a family owned northern Ontario fly-in fishing camp service which has been operating remote, northern Ontario fishing camps continuously in the Chapleau area since 1954. John has been flying fishermen to northern Ontario fly-in fishing camps since 1970 and has logged over 10,000 hours of flying in northern Ontario.
John Theriault Air Limited operates deluxe outpost northern Ontario fly in fishing camps on a number of wilderness lakes and fishing rivers within a 60 mile radius of Chapleau, in northern Ontario, from a float plane base on the Chapleau River, just west of Chapleau Ontario.
Fishing - Walleye and Northern Pike
The fish species to be found and caught in our northern Ontario fly-in fishing camp lakes are primarily walleye and northern pike, but there are also perch and whitefish too. Lake trout can be found in NEMEGOSENDA Lake. Our northern Ontario fly-in fishing lakes range in size from 2 miles to 20 miles. Northern Ontario fly in Fishing Camps
Some of our smaller fly in fishing lakes have no other fishing camps on them other than our own camps. The larger lakes usually have only one other outfitter on them. Our fly in camps are well equipped and maintained. Our fly in fishing camp at NEMEGOSENDA LAKE is set up for larger parties.
Making Plans
Parties already in our camps are flown out when the replacement party arrive. Parties arriving at our seaplane base are flown in by order of arrival to our fly in camps. Plan to arrive at 6:30 A.M. for morning flights and 10 A.M. for afternoon flights or advise us as soon as possible while on the road, if you will be arriving late.
How We Operate.
We supply the following:
- your flight to and from our fly-in fishing camps plus
- we plan a mid-week check flight,
- equipped housekeeping cottage,
- boats, motors and outboard fuel.
- The cabins in our fly-in fishing camps have propane appliances including,
- refrigerator, oven, range and lights.
- The cabins also are fully equipped with dishes and cooking utensils,
