Outpost Camps
Our fishing camps have only one cabin with the exception of Nemegosenda Lake which is set up for large parties.
Most of the smaller lakes have no other fishing camps on them while the larger lakes usually have only 1 other outfitter.

Flying Friday to Friday
Bonar Lake
Situated in the Chapleau Game Preserve, Bonar is a picturesque lake about 6 miles long with several islands and bays. There are many places to fish and fishing is consistent for walleyes with the occasional trophy northern. Good jumbo perch action in the summer The cabip consists of 3 rooms, a screened porch and will accommodate up to 10 people. The site has a beautiful sand beach and the cabin is only 10 feet from the water. There is one other outpost cabin on the lake.
Schewabic Lake
This lake is part of the Chapleau River system, on the border of the Ctiapleau Game Preserve. Much wildlife is seen along this long narrow lake. Schewabic has excellent walleye and northern pike fishing. The cabin has 2 bedrooms and a large screened porch with a terrific exposure.
Shiners Lake
Shiners is about 3 to 4 miles long with several islands, stretches of rock outcrop and productive weedbeds. The CN railway line hugs the south side of the lake while the cabin is nestled in a bay at the north end. Fishing is good for northern pike and some walleye. A boat and motor is provided on another lake that has good walleye and pike fishing. The cabin has a bedroom and a screened porch and will accommodate up to six people. A private camp on the lake has minimal occupancy.
Sherlock Lake
Sherlock is a smaller lake, about two miles long, with good walleye and some pike fishing. The cabin has a bedroom and a screened porch and accommodates up to six people. Sherlock is remote and private.
Lincoln Lake
The only cabin on a remote lake about 4 miles long. An island site with a beach. Lincoln Is a good summer lake for fishing Walleye and Northern pike. The lake is fairly shallow with good Weedbeds produdng walleye in the 1-5 pound size and northerns up to 15 pounds. consists of 2 rooms and a large screened porch and will accommodate up to 6 people.

Nemegosenda River (Riverside)
A new cottage built in 1997, about 12 miles downstream from Nemegosenda Lake. The cottage has two bedrooms, a screened porch, and is close to good summer fishing spots near Alcorn and Grassy Lakes. The river system produces some large northerns in the summer and fall.
Nemegosenda Lake
This remote lake is twenty miles northeast of Chapleau. The lake is about 8 miles long with about 15 miles of navigable river as well. The lake is deep and some lake trout are taken each spring. Walleye are the predominant species with some northerns. The camp consists of a 24 X 40 cabin and a 14 X 20 cabin. There is also a large screened gazebo.
Nemegosenda River (Bayview)
Seven miles downstream from Nemegosenda Lake, the River has good fishing for walleye and northern pike. The A-frame cabin has a large screened porch and is comfortable for 4 people byt will sleep six.
Ivanhoe River
This camp accesses about six thiles of Ivanhoe River for walleye and pike fishing. The river is scenic and has some deeper water as well as weed beds. The campsite has a nice beach. The cottage has 3 bedrooms and a large screened porch. There is one other camp on this stretch of river. It is quite a comfortable camp and will accommodate up to ten people. We also brushed out the old trail to another stretch of the river that has not been fished in the past ten years.
Sahler Lake
This lake has plenty of action for northerns and walleyes. Sahler has a 2 room cabin with a large screened porch. The lake is about 3 miles long and the cabin will accommodate 4 people comfortably. There are no other camps on the lake.
Biggs Lake
Biggs is rocky, spring fed lake in the hills adjacent to the Ivanhoe River. The lake has a good walleye population and some trophy northerns are taken each year. The cabin is on an island has 2 rooms and a screened porch. Boat and motors are provided on other lakes for fishing Walleye and northerns. This is the only camp on a beautiful lake.
Flying Sunday to Sunday
Rice Lake
Rice Lake is a larger lake, about 12 miles long with many islands and bays. This is a beautiful remote lake that produces plentiful Walleye and the occasional large northern. The cabin has 2 rooms and a large screened porch accommodating Up to eight people. There are 2 other outpost camps towards the other end of the lake.
We Supply
We completed the renovation of the Ivanhoe River Camp 2002. It is quite a comfortable camp now and will accommodate up to ten people. We also brushed out the old trail to another stretch of the river that has not been fished in the past ten years.
- Propane appliances, including refridgerator, cooking stove with oven and lights
- Beds with 39" mattresses, matress covers and pillows
- Dishes and cooking utensils
- Woodstove for heat
- 12' and 14' aluminum fishing boats for each 2 adults
- Motor and motor fuel, oars.
Note: Water at all lake sites is suitable for drinking.

- Lantern with fuel, for supplementary lighting. Lantern fuel must be in an approved plastic container. Mini cabins DO NOT have propane lights as the cabins do.
What Not To Bring
- No more than 1 cooler per 2 persons unless it is disposable
- No large wood boxes or crates
- We prefer no pets
- Please remove reels from rods and tie the rods together or pack them in cases
- Landing nets should be tied together and the mesh covered with a garbage bag
- Bottled water is not necessary since all water at the sites is clean and safe to drink.
Note:
- You can purchase items at our seaplane base in Chapleau, including live bait, fishing licenses, groceries, liquor, beer.
- All garbage is flown out of the bush,so have a good supply of heavy garbage bags on hand.
- We require a cabin retainer deposit of $100.00. This amount is refunded when cabin, equipment and boats are left in satisfactory condition.
